Welcome to Kettletell | Transformation by Kettlebell Rotating Header Image

Woo hoo! A workout!

Okay, guys! (And by “guys,” I mean everybody!)

I’ve been getting my workout on, but haven’t been blogging! I apologize to everyone in kettleworld. Mea culpa.

Now that that’s over, let’s get on with my Wednesday Workout. I grabbed my energetic nephew for a brisk walk uphill. We kept track of our progress with my heart rate monitor.

When the clouds threatened rain, we made it back, and I jumped rope to warm up. I had seen an experienced kettlebeller doing Turkish GetUps with the kettlebell bottom facing the ceiling. I thought I could do that with the 8kg. I couldn’t. I deleted the video, so you won’t see that!

But I did manage 2 sets with the 8kg. Since I had recently picked up my new, vinyl covered 12 kg kettlebell (red’s one of my favorite colors), I also gave the turks a shot with it. Um… yeah… there’s a big difference between 18 and 26 pounds. You won’t see that video either. Still, struggling and all, I completed two sets with the 12kg.

Swings? Yup. They’re a lot of fun with the 26 pounder. I think my form is getting  better, too. I did 1 minute with the 12kg, almost 1 minute with two 8kgs, and another minute with the 12kg. Of course, I took a break to watch my nephew dance.

A few stretches later, and I’m done. I felt it all over, and it felt gooooooooood! Enjoy!

Don’t you just LOOOOVVVVEEEEE the 12k kettlebell!!!! I always say that moving to a higher weight makes you commit to the movement you’re doing (my 25 year old son just learned that when he went from a 12k to a 16k.)
I am impressed with your get up, not eveyone gets it immediately, you go girl!
