Well, I didn’t meet my goal for today, but I did come pretty close! To come up with the numbers below, I took my final goal and divided my progress into thirds. Probably not the best formula, now that I think about it, but at least I was going for an average amount of change over time.
As you can see, since starting the pre-cleanse, I’ve lost 4 1/2 pounds and a couple of inches… in a week. For me, that’s crazy!
Here are some before and after photos, just to keep you updated. (Sometime soon, I will get better quality photos, I promise!)
I can’t believe it’s been 12 weeks since I started doing something about being overweight. I began at the end of April by taking multivitamins and other supplements, and drinking at least 64 ounces of water a day. I opened this blog on May 4th, weighing in at 212.5 pounds, and started working out with a 4kg kettlebell shortly thereafter.
Today, I’m at a comfortable enough distance from 200 pounds to feel some satisfaction that the time, energy and effort I’m putting in is paying off. I can lift a 16kg kettlebell without wincing. And in this short time with my trainer, I’ve learned so much about strength training.
There’s still such a journey ahead, that I wonder when I’m going to feel a little more ecstatic. Yet, when I look at the difference between 216 and 197, I can think, “Wow, that’s almost 20 pounds!”
I have a lot of video that’s been collecting on my computer, so I will be backposting about my last few days, including completing my first two cleanse days and moving back into “shake” mode.
For now, kettle’s out! Have a wonderful week!

Awesome! I can see the difference, especially in the 3rd picture. Congratulations!
