Hi.
You might have been wondering where I’ve been. Or maybe this is your first time googling something like “kettlebell” and “workout” and you landed here.
Well, I’m glad you’re here with me, because I’m starting all over again.
Yup, that’s right, people, your girl is back at Square One.
Well… not quite Square One, but pretty darn close.
Starting with the bad news first: I have re-gained about fifteen pounds since October 2009. That’s exactly 1 1/2 pounds a month. Good Lord!
Okay, on to the happy news. During this brief hiatus, I met an amazing person, fell in love with him, and we are currently living happily together.
Fortunately/Unfortunately, he happens to be a chef. And, not just any chef, mind you. A pastry chef.
It took me over a month to finally move everything in to our place. Just walking to our doorstep means carrying my 30+ pound munchkin down a very long and uneven flight of stairs. Needless to say, my calves are still in good shape.
Since I had not been working out, the last things I moved were my pair of Warrior Hardware 12kgs and my 16kg kettlebell.
I’m not going to get all sentimental about what I did or didn’t do which got me back to this place. I’m actually the happiest I’ve ever been, in terms of having a real partner who loves and supports me, and who I can be there for.
What’s next? It’s time to get back to basics. I’ve been walking uphill with my little guy in my pack. I’m moving back to doing the plank and next up, TGUs!
I’ll keep you posted!

The good news- muscle has memory. Your muscles will regain their strength quickly. The Challange- I challange you, Angela, to follow my path and let ‘the way of the kettlebell’ make you healthy again!
Girlfriend, I spent the whole summer plateaued at 196, then I learned I wasn’t eating enough good protein and too many bad carbs. While I thought I was building muscle with my workouts, actually I was cannabalizing what muscle I had because of the fuel my body needed and wasn’t getting from my diet. I am now eating 100 grams (400 cal) of protein a day (plus fat and good carbs)! Huge difference- better musle, and I feel much better. And I think you can do this and live happily ever after with a pastry chef. You can do it!
Best of luck!!!
Happy to hear you’re back at it. Stay at it! We’re all in this together!
Hey Angela,
I discovered you on YouTube because I was searching for people who have been on Isagenix and looking for what kind of results that have had.
I was on Isagenix for awhile and it worked for me. Geez. Don’t know why I quit! Alot of mind junk going on with me. Going to go back on when I get it in the mail. I’m looking forward to the process and plan on Vlogging it.
Working out and Isagenix maybe the magic formula for me. We will see!
I’m glad that you’re back on the wagon again. And congrats with your new love.
Glad to hear you are back at it. I have recently lost 30 pounds and am getting back in shape after an extended illness. Hoping to find a workout buddy in my building or nearby. Best of luck to ya, sweetie
