I’m probably a lot like you. I like to look things up on the internet. I’m always seeking to improve myself. And I’m my harshest critic. So it’s no surprise that I’m willing to get online and share tidbits of my struggle-- and eventual success-- at overall fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

Why kettletell? In March 2009 in Honolulu, I was introduced to a piece of cardio and weight training equipment I had never seen before- a russian kettlebell.

A couple of months (and a ton of internet research) later,  I became convinced that this tool, along with a change in my mindset and eating habits, would lead to my transformation.

As a single parent, an educator, and a resident of beautiful Hawaii, I’ll be looking for ways to incorporate kettlebell and strength training into the full life I lead.

You can expect a casual, informative and slightly comical look at my trials and tribulations as I work towards my overall goal of moving from a size XXL to 135 pounds.

I’ll update this blog in real time, share things that I’ve found helpful, and always, always, ask for your support. (I invite you to comment on the blog itself without signing up for anything!)
